Kokua Festival 2006
Kokua means help in Hawaiian, and that is what
this super concert aims for, help the children of the Hawaiian islands, better
schooling, better programs, help recognize and be aware of the environmental
problems that kids will grow up to deal with. Jack Johnson lists a stellar group
of friends in order to achieve this. This super popular concert takes place in
Honolulu, at the Shell and lasts all day long.
You might wonder what motorcycles have to do
with this, well, not much, other than it's a very good alternate means of
transportation, spew less gasses and uses less fuel, parking is a breeze and to
top it off, occupy much less space on the roads, just in a nutshell. Anyway, who
would want to miss a Jack Johnson concert, along with Paula Fuga, Ben Harper,
Willie Nelson, Demian Marley and many more.
This time was my first real vacation to Hawaii,
although many of you believe I live in a constant vacation, it's not so, every
place I visit has to do something with bikes (bikes are work to me) We got to
enjoy the tourist side of Oahu thanks to all my good friends over there. Some
things change, some don't, memories stay.
Here's a link to the Kokua Foundation, do the
right thing and help out.
